The owner of a private indoor shooting range reached out seeking a contractor with the expertise to handle the specialized demands of a functional and safe shooting facility. Understanding that an indoor range requires more than standard construction, they needed a team capable of delivering a proper build-out alongside precision ventilation and lighting solutions — critical components for air quality, shooter safety, and optimal visibility downrange. They trusted us to bring it all together under one roof.
We installed a 40' Groundhog indoor shooting range unit — a fully engineered system built to perform at the highest safety and operational standards. The unit features an MRT Engineered HEPA Filtration System, capturing 99.99% of all particulates down to 0.3 microns, ensuring clean air quality throughout every session. Power requirements are straightforward with a single-phase, 50-amp RV-style plug-in connection. Sound containment was a priority — the unit's acoustic engineering keeps noise levels at 21 feet equivalent to that of a household vacuum, making it a considerate and practical solution for a private setting. Safety was built into every inch, with a 360-degree Ballistic Envelope tested and certified to NIJ Standard 108.01, rated for 7.62x51mm 149-grain M80 FMJ rounds. The range includes two shooting lanes complete with shooter's shelves, a 7-yard shooting distance, and a sloped granular rubber ballistic trap for reliable and safe projectile containment.
