Mobile Range Technologies builds the 40' Groundhog as a containerized indoor shooting range for businesses, firearm manufacturers, training providers and private users. Built in a single-use 40-foot ISO container, the standard configuration is two lanes and a 7-yard rifle shooting distance.

The Groundhog provides a dedicated indoor shooting environment without requiring construction of a permanent range. It can support firearms training, product demonstrations, test firing, paid range time and other shooting applications at a business or private location.

The 40' Groundhog combines a 40-foot ISO container with MRT's shooting range equipment and systems. Its two-lane configuration provides a compact option for training, testing, demonstrations and other shooting applications.

The standard range is rated for rifle shooting up to 7.62x51mm 149-grain M80 FMJ. It uses a single-phase 50-amp power connection and can be installed at an approved business or private location.

The compact Groundhog gives businesses and organizations another way to add indoor shooting capabilities to their operations. Expand or Convert the Groundhog

The 40' Groundhog can also accommodate future changes. Additional 40-foot container sections can be added to increase the shooting distance, with each section adding approximately 13 yards of length.

If your operating needs change, the 40' Groundhog can also be converted to a mobile configuration similar to the Road Runner by placing the container on a chassis trailer. This provides another configuration option without requiring an entirely new range.
